Lexington County requires a permit to install or replace a plumbing, gas or mechanical system and exempts ordinary repairs. Ask your plumber who pulls the permit, whichever county you are in.
When several drains back up: whose line is it?
The Town of Lexington runs sewer service at (803) 358-1581. If several fixtures back up at once, ask the Town, or the entity on your sewer bill, whether its main is involved before paying for a private clearing. Our pages on clearing backed-up drains and repairing a sewer line cover the private side.
For a plumbing problem anywhere on this list, the full set of services is on the services page. Call with your address if you are unsure, and one of our plumbers will tell you what to do first.
